Philippians 4:11-13 - "Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength."

Paul was consistenly in situations where he almost died and suffered for the rest of his life after becoming a follower of Jesus. Paul suffereed near death 14 times: 5 instances of receiving 39 lashes, 3 beatings with rods, 1 stoning, 4 shipwrecks, and 1 mob attack, as recorded in the New Testament of the Bible.

I have personally chosen this Scripture as one of my daily prayers to help me throughout the day as I have chronic health issues, temptations in sobriety, and severe bouts of depression.
